What is Bio-Glucosamine MEGA?
Glucosamine is a naturally occurring sugar-related nutrient which is important in normal joint function. It is produced within the body but the capacity to manufacture sufficient levels declines with age. Supplements are the best if not only sources of Glucosamine as there are no obtainable food sources.

How does Bio-Glucosamine MEGA work?
When Bio-Glucosamine MEGA is taken by mouth, Glucosamine and Chondroitin are absorbed into the body and taken in the blood to the joints. Glucosamine stimulates the formation of normal joint cartilage, and provides an anti-inflammatory effect, and Chondroitin helps maintain the correct fluid balance in cartilage, as well as acting as a joint lubricant.

What do you take Bio-Glucosamine MEGA for?
People with damage to joints through osteo or rheumatoid arthritis may benefit from taking Bio-Glucosamine MEGA.

How much should you take?
As there are no dietary sources of Glucosamine there is no Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA). The daily intake recommended by Pharma Nord is based on data published in scientific journals focusing on over 20 clinical trials investigating the beneficial effects of glucosamine sulphate in those with arthritis.

Pharma Nord recommends one - three tablets daily, to be taken with food.

Which is the best from to take?
With Bio-Glucosamine MEGA, there is no risk of B.S.E, as the Chondroitin in Bio-Glucosamine Plus is derived from shark cartilage, not cattle as in many other preparations. Of the various forms in which Glucosamine may be available, Glucosamine sulphate is the most readily absorbed (>90%) from the digestive tract, and the most readily incorporated into joint tissues.

Are there any contra-indications?
Bio-Glucosamine MEGA is generally well tolerated but may rarely cause gastrointestinal disturbance in susceptible individuals.
Bio-Glucosamine MEGA is not recommended for children and should not be taken by pregnant or lactating women.
Not suitable for those with an allergy to shell fish products.
Not suitable for vegetarians.

Bio-Glucosamine MEGA.  It is sold as tablets packed in blister packs, in boxes of 60 and 140.

QUALITY REQUIREMENTS
The raw materials comply with government regulations in the EC and Scandinavia.  Testing ensures that the raw materials are in accordance with their certificates of analysis. 

The tablets are produced under pharmaceutical control.

THE PREPARATION
The product is a light blue coated 9x18mm oval tablet. 
The average tablet weight is 1208mg.
All blister packs are batch numbered and the boxes are date stamped in accordance with current regulations.


SHELF LIFE
Minimum 2 years.

STORAGE
Store in a dry and cool place out of direct sunlight.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Not to be taken by those allergic to shellfish.

Pregnant or lactating women and those on medication should consult a doctor before using any product
