What is Curcumin?

Curcumin is believed to be one of nature's most powerful antioxidant with many health benefits. Studies show Curcumin may help regulate chemical messengers that cause inflammation in the body, but its beneficial properties highly depend on its bioavailability.

Piperine, the active ingredient in black pepper enhances the serum concentration and bioavailability of curcumin by inhibiting hepatic & intestinal glucuronidation, the main detoxification pathways in the body. Therefore, the curcumin is not destroyed by the digestive enzymes and can be absorbed into the blood system; and penetrates easily the brain for maximum effect.
