Higher Nature Vitamin K2 supplements is a new product to MultiVits range. Vitamin K is essential for normal blood clotting and for building and maintaining strong, healthy bones. As Vitamin K is so important for bone health it makes sense to take this as part of your daily supplementation programme especially if you are postmenopausal.

An excellent food source of Vitamin K2 is natto (fermented soya beans) – not a common Western dietary choice. Cheese and curd are also good sources, but people following a heart-health diet are recommended to reduce such foods in their diet, and they’re usually high in salt. Higher Nature’s Vitamin K2 is sourced from natto.

Why Higher Nature Vitamin K2:

  • Highly bioactive and bio-available.
  • The average western diet is depleted in vitamin K2, important for normal blood clotting.
  • Helps maintain bone mass in post menopausal women.
  • Vitamin K2 remains in the blood for longer than K1.

What is the best form of Vitamin K to take?

Latest research suggests a special form of Vitamin K, called menaquinone-7 (K2). Vitamin K2 MenaQ7 is a natural, patent protected form of vitamin K2.

Vitamin K2 form stays in the blood for longer than Vitamin K1. This means the body’s reserves can be built up and tissues supplied continuously. And unlike Vitamin K1, Vitamin K2 is safe to take with blood thinning medication, at the suggested daily intake.

The optimal daily intake as determined by research is 45µg – more is not necessary.

Perfect partners for ‘tip-top’ bones
For strong healthy bones, take Super OsteoFood and Vitamin K2, a powerful combination of all the important bone nutrients. Vitamin K2 is particularly key for helping maintain bone mass in post-menopausal women and is also safe to take with blood thinning medication.

How much should you take?

Higher Nature recommends adults and children over 4 years take 1 tablet a day, or as your health professional advises.

Do not exceed recommended daily intake.

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Are there any adverse effects from taking vitamin K2?

Higher Nature Vitamin K2 is usually generally well tolerated with no reported adverse effects.

Safe to take with blood thinning medication at the suggested daily intake. MenqQ7 is a natural, patent protected form of vitamin K2.
